8th Renewable & Storage Forum, an enerypress event, at the InterContinental, October 20 and 21, 2026
At a pivotal moment for the green energy sector in both Greece and Europe, with energy storage emerging as the decisive factor shaping the future of energy transition investments, the energypress team is announcing the organization of the Renewable & Storage Forum for the eighth consecutive year. The forum stands as the largest, most representative, and most influential event dedicated to Renewable Energy and Energy Storage.
The conference will take place on October 20 and 21, 2026, at the InterContinental Athens (89-93 Syggrou Avenue), in the Athenaeum Ballroom, the largest single conference venue in Athens, offering even greater opportunities for an impactful and productive event for both sponsors and participants.
The Renewable & Storage Forum is the meeting point for the entire business and investment community of Greece and the wider southeast Europe region, political leaders, the management of regulatory authorities, organizations and system operators, the academic community, and energy professionals.
As every year, the forum will be livestreamed in both Greek and English through energypress, affiliated websites, and social media channels.
This year, for the first time, a dedicated B2B meeting area will be introduced, enabling participants to arrange personalized business meetings through a special electronic application.
Over the course of the two-day conference, specialized speakers and participants will explore and seek answers to the most pressing questions surrounding the energy crisis, renewable energy, and energy storage, including:
- What will be the consequences of the energy crisis for Europe's path toward a green energy transition?
- How can the major challenges affecting both existing projects and new investment plans, caused by electricity grid saturation and the mismatch between electricity generation and demand, be overcome?
- What is the optimal balance that will enable batteries to provide a solution to today's deadlock, and what will be the future role of the different renewable energy technologies?
- How can the "sleeping giant" of self-production and self-consumption be unlocked to strengthen industrial competitiveness and improve consumer resilience?
- How easy is it today to finance green investment projects, and through which financing tools?
- What are the latest technological developments in Wind, Solar, Storage, Transmission, Hydrogen, and green gases?
